These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners Bow provides professional cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order for any service.
In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:
Client means the individual or business ordering the services from Carpet Cleaners Bow.
Company means Carpet Cleaners Bow, the provider of cleaning services.
Services means any carpet, upholstery, rug, hard floor, or related cleaning services supplied by the Company to the Client, including any additional or ancillary services agreed between the parties.
Premises means the property or location at which the Services are to be carried out.
Agreement means the contract between the Client and the Company formed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
The Company provides professional cleaning services, including but not limited to carpet cleaning, rug cleaning, upholstery cleaning, and related treatments. The precise scope of the Services will be confirmed at the time of booking and in any subsequent written confirmation.
The Company reserves the right to refuse any job that, in its reasonable opinion, may pose a risk to health and safety, involve hazardous materials, or be otherwise unsuitable for the Services offered.
Bookings for Services can be made by the Client through the Company’s accepted communication channels as listed on its website or promotional materials. By requesting a booking, the Client confirms that they are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
A booking is considered an offer by the Client to purchase Services in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The Agreement between the Client and the Company is formed only when the Company confirms the booking, either verbally or in writing.
The Client is responsible for providing accurate information at the time of booking, including the size and condition of the areas or items to be cleaned, access details, and any relevant parking or entry requirements. If the information provided is incomplete or inaccurate, the Company may adjust the quoted price, alter the scope of the Services, or decline to proceed with the booking.
The Company may request photographs or additional descriptions of the Premises or items to be cleaned in order to provide a more accurate estimate. Any such estimate is provided in good faith based on the information available at the time and may be subject to change upon arrival at the Premises.
The Client must ensure that the Company has safe and reasonable access to the Premises for the duration of the Services, including where relevant access to parking, electricity, water, and adequate lighting.
The Client must remove fragile items, personal belongings, and any items of value from the areas to be cleaned before the Service is due to commence. The Company will not be responsible for moving heavy furniture or personal items unless expressly agreed in advance. Any assistance with moving items is at the discretion of the cleaning technicians and at the Client’s risk.
The Client must advise the Company in advance of any known hazards, delicate materials, pre-existing damage, or special conditions that may affect the provision of the Services, including loose carpets, unstable furniture, or surfaces sensitive to moisture or cleaning products.
Prices for Services are usually provided as a quotation based on the information supplied by the Client. Unless otherwise stated, all prices are given in pounds sterling and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
The Company reserves the right to adjust the price where the actual condition or size of the items or areas to be cleaned differ significantly from the description provided at the time of booking, or where additional Services are requested on site.
Payment is due in accordance with the payment terms notified to the Client at the time of booking or as set out in any invoice issued by the Company. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due on completion of the Services on the day of attendance.
The Company accepts various forms of payment as advised to the Client prior to or at the time of Service. The Client agrees to ensure that funds are available and that payment can be made without delay.
In the event of late or non-payment, the Company reserves the right to charge reasonable interest and administrative fees and to suspend or cancel any further Services until outstanding amounts are settled in full.
The Company may require a deposit or full pre-payment to secure a booking. Any such requirement will be communicated to the Client at the time of booking.
Deposits and pre-payments are generally non-transferable and may be non-refundable, subject to the cancellation provisions contained in these Terms and Conditions.
If the Client wishes to cancel or reschedule a booking, they must provide as much notice as reasonably possible through the Company’s accepted communication channels.
The Company may apply a cancellation fee if a booking is cancelled or rescheduled at short notice. Details of any applicable cancellation window and fee structure will be communicated to the Client at the time of booking or in any subsequent confirmation.
Where the Client fails to provide adequate access to the Premises on the scheduled date and time, or the cleaning technicians are unable to gain entry, the Company may treat the booking as cancelled by the Client and may charge a call-out or cancellation fee.
The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, transport disruption, staff illness, or equipment failure. In such cases, the Company will endeavour to offer an alternative appointment at the earliest mutually convenient time. The Company will not be liable for any indirect losses arising from such cancellation or rescheduling.
The Company aims to perform the Services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with industry practices and the specific requirements agreed with the Client.
While the Company will take all reasonable steps to achieve the best possible cleaning results, it cannot guarantee the complete removal of all stains, odours, or marks. The outcome of cleaning is dependent on factors such as the age and type of stain, fibre composition, previous cleaning attempts, and general condition of the item or area.
Some stains may become more visible following professional cleaning where surrounding soils are removed. The Company will not be liable for any dissatisfaction arising from pre-existing issues that are revealed or highlighted by the cleaning process.
Where the Client has concerns about particular items or areas, these must be raised with the technician before work commences. The Company may exclude certain items or recommend alternative treatment methods where there is a risk of damage.
The Company will exercise reasonable care to avoid damage to the Client’s property while carrying out the Services. However, the Client must inform the Company of any pre-existing damage, weaknesses, or conditions that could be affected by cleaning.
The Company’s liability for any proven damage caused directly by its negligence or breach of these Terms and Conditions will be limited to the reasonable costs of repair or replacement of the affected item, taking into account age, condition, and fair wear and tear. The Company may, at its discretion, arrange for repair or replacement through its own chosen suppliers or contractors.
The Company will not be liable for any of the following:
Damage arising from defects, weaknesses, or deterioration in property or items that are not reasonably visible or disclosed to the Company prior to or during the provision of the Services.
Damage to items that the Company has advised are unsuitable for the proposed cleaning method and which the Client has insisted be cleaned regardless.
Any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity, however arising.
Any delay or failure to perform the Services due to events beyond the Company’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Company’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they must notify the Company as soon as possible, and in any event within a reasonable time after completion of the Services. The Company may request photographs, descriptions, or an opportunity to revisit the Premises to assess and, where appropriate, remedy the issue.
Failure to allow the Company a reasonable opportunity to inspect or rectify any alleged problem may limit or extinguish any liability the Company might otherwise have had in respect of the matter.
Any claim relating to loss or damage must be made promptly with full supporting details. The Company reserves the right to reject claims that are not made within a reasonable time or where adequate evidence is not provided.
The Company will handle and dispose of any waste generated in the course of providing the Services in accordance with applicable UK laws and regulations relating to waste management and environmental protection.
Where the Services involve the extraction of dirty water, residues, or other waste materials, the Company will use appropriate methods and equipment to ensure safe collection and disposal. The Company may use drains or designated waste disposal points at the Premises where it is lawful and safe to do so. The Client must inform the Company of any relevant restrictions or limitations regarding the use of such facilities.
The Client must not request or require the Company to dispose of waste in any unlawful or unsafe manner. The Company reserves the right to refuse any such request and may terminate the Services immediately if necessary.
The Client remains responsible for the disposal of any household or commercial waste not directly generated by the Company’s cleaning process, unless otherwise agreed in writing as part of an additional service.
The Company will take reasonable steps to ensure that the Services are carried out in a safe manner, taking into account the health and safety of its staff, the Client, and any other persons present at the Premises.
Certain cleaning products and equipment may pose risks if misused. The Client must not interfere with equipment or products brought to the Premises by the Company and must ensure that children, pets, and vulnerable persons are kept away from work areas during and immediately after the cleaning process, as advised by the technician.
If the Premises are found to present significant health and safety risks, including but not limited to infestation, hazardous materials, or structural instability, the Company may suspend or cancel the Services without liability, other than to refund any payment made for Services that have not been performed.
The Company maintains appropriate insurance cover in respect of its cleaning activities, subject to the terms and exclusions of the relevant policies. Details of insurance cover may be provided to the Client upon reasonable request.
The Company will collect and process personal information about the Client only to the extent necessary to provide the Services, manage bookings, process payments, and handle any enquiries or complaints.
The Company will take reasonable steps to protect personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws. The Client’s details will not be sold to third parties. Personal data may be shared with trusted third parties only where necessary to deliver the Services or to comply with legal obligations.
The Company reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of the Client’s booking will apply to the Agreement for that particular Service, unless a change is required by law or regulation.
Any updated Terms and Conditions will be made available by the Company through its usual communication channels.
These Terms and Conditions, and any Agreement arising from them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the provision of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any rights the Client may have as a consumer to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction where applicable law permits.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms and Conditions, together with any written confirmation or agreed quotation, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the provision of the Services and supersede any prior understandings, statements, or representations, whether oral or written.
No variation of these Terms and Conditions shall be effective unless agreed in writing by the Company.
